Module A "Interaction between land management, climate change and ecosystem services"
Module A has a mainly international/European focus. Special attention is given to the interactions between land management, climate change and ecosystem services.Module B „Innovative system solutions for sustainable land management“
Module B primarily has a German focus but takes into account the international applicability or exportability of results. Overarching thematic priorities are defined for that purpose.
The research programme focuses on regions which are severely affected by climate and structural-demographic changes. Using these representative regions as examples, solutions will be developed that can be implemented as policies and transferred to comparable regions. All of the research projects work on an inter- and transdisciplinary basis in order to overcome barriers between disciplines, to include regional and local stakeholders and to elaborate action-oriented concepts and strategies.
